SBRI - Stem-cell and brain research institute

At SBRI, we implement a multidisciplinary investigation of the brain employing cell and molecular biology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, psychophysics, behavior, experimental psychology, neurocomputation, modeling and robotics. A major feature of research at SBRI is the use of appropriate animal models that are relevant to human neurobiology with a key focus on the cerebral cortex, stem-cell biotechnology and circadian biology. SBRI is internationally known for its major contributions in characterizing many facets of the unique features of human cortex, from its development to the anatomo-functional organization of its constituent networks underlying high-level cognitive functions.
